Administrative Assistants assist with day-to-day operations of our organization. They may be responsible for managing tabling events and fundraising activities, and will help with a wide array of tasks, which may vary from day to day. Examples of work include: tabling, fundraising, completing orders, managing organization accounts, managing organization website, assisting Secretary with drafting minutes for meetings, putting together meeting agendas for the Board of Directors, running various errands, assist organization officers with various assigned tasks, records and receipts management, business and investments project development, etc.
Administrative Assistants will be expected to have a bit more of a committed schedule than other volunteers, due to the need to act as a manager of other volunteers at this time. The ability to properly delegate tasks and management skills are a plus here. Face-to-face meetings may be needed, but not on a regular basis, and the position can be worked from a reasonable distance.
This is a good way to gain practical work experience as an administrative assistant, and great for your C.V. or résumé. We will be happy to write referrals for good work upon request. Hours are quite flexible, and are at the discretion of the applicant.
