ORGANIZATION: Riverside County- RSVP Program

Volunteering for Food Now and FSOD
We would not be able to provide services to clients if it not for the continued dedication and hard work of our volunteers.

Food Now:

  • Food Now depends solely on long term volunteers and has no salaried employees. They work tirelessly loading and unloading, stocking, sorting, and packaging to distribute food twice daily, three days a week to our clients. Our volunteers also help our clients to take their food to the car, rain or shine!
Family Services of the Desert (FSOD) has three major fund raising events yearly
  • February-Chill Cook-Off
  • June-Golf Tournament
  • December-Skyborne Half-Marathon & 5K
  • Volunteers for these past events include local residents, high school students,ROTC, Boy Scout troops, and many others. Food Now volunteers participate in these events as well.

Some volunteer positions are:
  • Parking
  • Silent Auction
  • Ticket Booth
  • Set-Up
  • Clean-Up
  • Passing out of flyers
