We are currently accepting applications for new Crisis Services volunteers. Volunteers answer crisis calls, chats, and/or texts from across Iowa and even across the nation. No previous experience required. Volunteers are trained in a wide variety of counseling techniques and will provide direct support to clients in need over the phone or via chat and text. The training and experience are excellent preparation for those pursuing careers in health care, social work, or related fields. Remote opportunities available.

We are developing a virtual training and volunteer shifts can be completed remotely. To apply and stay in the loop for the next training, visit builtbycommunity.org/volunteer
