Experienced nonprofit executive needed to assist the Director in developing nonprofit. The Sanctuary is currently in it's infancy. Input on policy, procedures and personnel guidance needed the most. This will be a great opportunity to significantly influence the structure of the organization.
We need assistance in finding an experienced fundraising volunteer who is able to guide the Sanctuary in all area's of fundraising, including, but not limited to, individual, corporate, website, internet and governmental grants. We want to pursue the most efficient avenues to raise money and need guidance from the Assistant Director and from the lead fundraising volunteer.
Guidance is also needed to establish an efficient, fun organization that ensures governmental compliance and informed, happy contributors.
This position will also help find volunteers for accounting, website development and maintenance, social media and marketing.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Sanctuary is to acquire land in order to establish and preserve a park-like tree habitat in North Carolina populated by Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia Sempervirens). A limited number of plants can be used for landscape enhancement and beautification and to promote Coastal Redwood growth. The purpose of establishing the Sanctuary is for use by and the enjoyment and education of North Carolinians and visitors to North Carolina. The Sanctuary will be designed so as to accommodate trails, a visitor education/retail center, an events area and parking.

The North Carolina Redwood Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization set up to acquire land in order to establish and preserve a park-like tree habitat in North Carolina populated by Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia Sempervirens). The North Carolina Redwood Sanctuary has been organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. The North Carolina Redwood Sanctuary shall not carry on any activities or exercise any powers that are not permitted to be carried on by corporations exempt from Federal Income tax under IRC Section 501(c)(3) or corresponding provisions of any subsequent federal tax laws.
