Volunteer at SAME Cafe with Project Helping

ORGANIZATION: Project Helping

  • 6 people are interested

SAME is the first nonprofit restaurant in Denver. Its patrons set the price for their mostly local, organic cuisine. If patrons can give more, please do. If they have a little less, they pay what they can. If their pockets are empty, they can exchange volunteer work at SAME for one of the cafĂ©’s mouth-watering meals.

It is the intent of SAME Cafe to build a healthy community by providing a basic need of food in a respectful and dignified manner to anyone who walks through the door. Everyone, regardless of economic status, deserves the chance to eat healthy food while being treated with dignity. Good food for the Greater Good.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

We will be assisting in the kitchen and in the dining area of SAME Cafe prepping food, cooking, serving, dish washing, cleaning tables, and doing light maintenance. During harvest season, we will process donated produce.

We have two volunteer shifts available for this date, AM shift: 10am-1pm / PM shift: 12pm-3pm. Please register for the shift that best fits your schedule!

All of our volunteers are invited to eat the meal they will be prepping/serving during their volunteer shift. AM volunteers will share lunch at the end of their shift and PM volunteers will share lunch at the beginning.

Project Helping volunteers at SAME Cafe on the first Saturday of every month. View dates and register: http://bit.ly/2vtsNke
