If you enjoy reading to children, helping teach math skills, and helping them improve their learning skills, then this opportunity is for you!
By enrolling in the Davis County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), we can help set you up at a school that needs volunteers like you. You can help a child succeed! You will also be able to enjoy the benefits of this program. We offer mileage riembursment to and from your volunteer station (up to (300 Miles!), you will automatically receive suplimental insurance while your volunteering, and enjoy a recognition even that is held every to honor and celebrate our amazing volunteers actively serving! This is a chance to make a real difference in your community.

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
