  • 5 people are interested

Family Code Day will consist of activities that expose families from historically under-served and underrepresented communities to the power of computing and entrepreneurship and the importance of careers in computer science. Families will be given a scenario in which they must form their own startup company and design an app to promote good cyber citizenship. Each of the family members must assume a role (i.e. project manager, designer, programmer, marketing, etc.) to perform in the development of their app. Participants will learn how to use a range of rapid prototyping tools and techniques to create and showcase their product. The final deliverable will be a group presentation of their product.

We're looking for volunteers to help facilitate the workshop and to assist families during their brainstorming and development process. No programming experience needed, only creativity.
