Volunteer Description:
Set-up volunteers will spend a few hours the afternoon of Thursday, October 25th, preparing the venue for the Be The Match Soiree.
Volunteers may help with carrying items from vehicles into the event space, setting up silent auction displays, arranging décor and programs at guest tables, and more. (Note: You should be comfortable with being on your feet for a few hours and with some lifting.)
Event Description:
The Be The Match Atlanta Soiree is a fundraising event featuring an inspirational program, dinner, and auction.
The Atlanta Soiree will celebrate the individuals who have risen to the challenge, saved a life, and lit the way for others to follow. All funds raised will go toward delivering our vision of helping every patient find their life-saving cure.
Organization Description:
For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past thirty years Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. We work every day to save lives through transplant.

When you volunteer with NMDP, you are helping blood cancer and blood disease patients get their cure - a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor. As a volunteer, you can truly impact the lives of patients and their families. Last year, volunteers gave nearly 125,000 hours of their time. This commitment is vital to the life-saving work at NMDP.
