The Friendship Shelter Gala is a critical part of our annual fundraising effort. These critical funds will be used to further our work ending homelessness for the most vulnerable men and women in our community. We rely on amazing volunteers to help make this evening a success and we hope you'll be able to join us for our celebration.
The event will be held on Friday, November 1st at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa. The theme is The Party. For more information about the event, including photos from last year, please visit https://www.friendshipshelter.org/2019-gala. We're looking for volunteers to help throughout the evening, including with:
- Registration & checking guests in as they arrive
- Silent auction check-out
- Opportunity drawing ticket sales
- Donation collection
There will be a volunteer training and orientation directly before the event begins, and we will provide dinner and complimentary valet parking for all volunteers.

Description
Friendship Shelter was incorporated in 1987 to provide year-round shelter and rehabilitation to homeless adults. Today we provide a full complement of rehabilitative services to those most in need and addresses the many interrelated problems of homelessness, including mental and physical health, drug and alcohol addiction, personal responsibility, education, and employment opportunity. To date, more than 10,000 people have participated in a Friendship Shelter program, and each night nearly 150 homeless people sleep safe, warm, and cared for.
