Did you know everyone in Newport, KY lives within five blocks of green space? We see an opportunity there. Join us to help create thriving community spaces during a fun day of transformation.
United Way of Greater Cincinnati's major initiative, Place Matters, along with the Newport Westside Citizens Coalition, LISC, and volunteers like you, will help clean up two Newport parks and a centrally located abandoned property. Together we're creating a community where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
We'll kick off the event at The Borderlands meeting space on Monmouth Street. Then, we will divide and conquer. Each group will have a project leader that will take them to their project space and guide through the work. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided!

United Way of Greater Cincinnati was founded in 1915. The annual fundraising campaign became a partnership with American Red Cross, Cincinnati Area Chapter, in 1956. Today the organization covers ten counties: Hamilton, Brown, Butler and Clermont in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton in Northern Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Southeast Indiana.
