Our Child Development Services Department caters to ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Our trained professional staff focus on providing our children with a fun curriculum in a safe classroom setting. Our Child Care Assistants will serve as an extra set of hands and eyes in our classrooms. Activities one might perform as a Child Care Assistant would be helping with snacks and meals, putting babies to sleep, and changing diapers. You might also assist in cleaning the rooms and toys.
Child Care Assistants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. We ask for a time commitment of at least four hours. Participation is contingent upon clearance of a background check.
Child Development Services Department Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Since 1951, Good Samaritan Community Services (GSCS) has provided much needed assistance to people living in the neighborhoods of San Antonio's near west side.
GSCS offers extensive social service programs that address the overall needs of children, youth, and families living in this community. GSCS's commitment to improving the quality of life in this area of town is embodied in its mission, changing lives through excellent community services.
