DSACO is excited to offer an opportunity for children with Down syndrome (ages 5-12) to come to the DSACO office to cook a goodie in the kitchen and play a game with their friends! This program is designed to teach basic cooking skills as well as foster positive relationships with old and new friends. Participants will create a goodie in the kitchen and will be able to take home a laminated recipe card so they can make it again! After we have finished eating, we will enter the playroom to play a game together!
Volunteers are asked to assist participants with the recipe and then play games and oversee that the event remains positive and upbeat! :)

The Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma's mission is to raise awareness and provide resources, as well as promote acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome.
We do this through a variety of family-oriented events, education workshops and community awareness campaigns such as:
- Buddy Walk
- "Reaching Across the Plains" Conference
- New Parent Visits and Quarterly New Parent Breakfast
- Monthly Educational Seminars on Topics Relating to Disabilities
- Parent to Parent Support Meetings
- Family Social Events
- Teen/Self-Advocate Events
DSACO envisions communities where everyone -- including those with disabilities -- is accepted, included, empowered and given the opportunity and choice to create their own happiness and path to success.
