Sojourn Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for volunteers to provide the gift of companionship for those with a serious life-limiting illness and to provide care-giver relief for their loved ones.

Volunteers are a very integral part of our team. You will make social visits, read to patients, help with journaling, take them outside, make a light meal, provide pet therapy and/or healing touch. Visits can be arranged for a day and time that works best for both you and the patient.

Our patients are throughout San Diego County (North County Coastal, North County Inland, Central County - between 8 and 56, downtown/Mission Valley, East County and South Bay.

You will receive free in-depth training about hospice and the role of the volunteer. No prior experience required. Just a willingness and open heart to help those in need.

Speaking Spanish is an extra bonus.

Your few hours a week will have such an impact on the lives of our terminally ill patients, their families and for you.

Please contact Phyllis, Volunteer Coordinator
