The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. : Training is being held on 5 consecutive Wednesdays beginning on September 5, 2018. All sessions begin promptly at 1:00 pm. The first four sessions will last 3 hours. The last session will last one hour. In order to become a certified LiteracyCNY volunteer, you must attend all 5 sessions. Training is modular in nature, with one session providing the necessary groundwork for the next. In case of emergency, please contact Doreen Plony, Instructional Volunteer Coordinator at 471-1300, x177. One make-up session will be allowed per participant. You will be notified about cancellations through email.
