CUESA is gearing up for our first Summer cocktail event in the East Bay and are partnering with the USBG (United States Bartenders Guild) and Jack London Square (JLS) in Oakland for Party Under the Palms: Summer Cocktails of the Farmers Market. We need help during the event on Wednesday, August 2, and are looking for 10 more 21+ volunteers to help us with this fun and engaging cocktail fundraiser in a new location.
This cocktail-focused event features an amazing lineup of East Bay bartenders and chefs who will highlight summer produce from the Jack London Square and Ferry Plaza Farmers Markets. The event takes place outdoors at the Palm Plaza of Jack London Square. Guests receive 3 full-sized signature cocktails, unlimited sample sized drinks, and a few delicious bites from noted local restaurants.
Our volunteer needs:
Wednesday, August 2, 5-9:30pm: 10 volunteers (21+) to support the set- up, duration and breakdown of the event atJLS.
During the event, we'll assign team captains for the different tasks, schedule breaks and offer a family meal (since the bites are for our guests).
We are holding an optional cocktail event orientation on Monday, July 31, 5:30p-6:30p at the CUESA office, 1 Ferry Building, Suite 250. Please let me know if you're able to join this.
An early dress code note: Comfortable shoes are a must and event black (neat and simple black top and black pants or skirt) with layers is recommended.

Foodwise (formerly CUESA) operates the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays year-round and Mission Community Market on Thursdays March-November. Nearly 80 regional small farmers, and 30 local specialty food artisans participate in our markets weekly. Over 15,000 shoppers frequent our markets weekly. Education programs include cooking demonstrations, talks on sustainable agriculture topics, local farm tours, school market tours, web resource page (foodwise.org, weekly e-letter, educational fact sheets, pamphlets and murals.
