ORGANIZATION: Sundance Circle Hippotherapy

Sundance Circle Hippotherapy is seeking volunteers to help with farm work for horses. Work entails maintenance of fences, general cleaning, cleanup, help with building projects, improvements. General understanding of construction helpful but not needed. Most equipment used is a drill, handsaw, paintbrush and general manual labor. No heavy lifting required. Good physical condition strongly recommended. Any day of the week except Sundays.

Description

"Hippotherapy" refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of a horse’s movement as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes for patients.
