In our Urgent Care clinics, patients are often experiencing higher amounts of stress and discomfort - especially during cold and flu season. We are seeking volunteers who can create welcoming, compassionate, supportive environments for individuals seeking urgent care. We are specifically seeking daytime volunteers to assist patients and they arrive and navigate the facility. Current shifts are between 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
This is a non-clinical volunteer role, focusing on the social side of healthcare and how your kind, helpful presence provides a meaningful impact on care experience. Common tasks include offering comfort items, lending a listening ear, assisting with wheelchair escorts, answering common questions, or communicating needs to our clinical teams.
All volunteers are provided additional education for safe practices related to COVID-19 and provided appropriate personal protective equipment. Volunteers must be able to volunteer at least once a week for 6 months.
If interested, click the "I Want to Help" button and we will send you more information about this volunteer role.
