Hospice Volunteers have big hearts and a desire to give back to their community. This opportunity could potentially bring to the volunteer a sense of satisfaction which comes through helping others.
We offer flexible opportunities to work around your busy schedule. We provided many opportunities to help you find the area of service that is uniquely suited to your talents and interests.
A patient support volunteer will be assigned to patient with whom they will meet for support visits. The volunteer during these visits may listen to music, read a book or just sitting quietly holding the patient's hand. The volunteer could also offer some respite care to relieve a family caregiver for an afternoon appointment.
Service and support is often in the patient's home and can be extended to skilled nursing centers, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
There is comprehensive training is offered and can be suited to meet your scheduling needs. The opportunity for patient support can make a huge difference to someone who would be otherwise alone.
