Our labyrinth and main lodge
ARC in the summer and spring, our grounds are equally stunning in the fall and winter.

Have fun volunteering in a log cabin nestled in the woods with a fun group of intergenerational folks!

Volunteer with our intentional community of resident volunteers to offer hospitality to retreat guests at our beautiful center nestled on 87 acres of old growth white pine forest. ARC welcomes volunteers for several hours, a day, a weekend, up to a month at a time depending on when groups of guests are present.

We need help on a variety of things like setting tables and washing dishes, food preparation, basic housekeeping and sharing delicious meals with ARC guests.

Enjoy downtime to explore our grounds, walk the labyrinth and watch the creek go by. Lodging and meals are free for volunteers.

Youth are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We are currently also seeking individuals who would like to come for a set day each week.

Testimonials from recent volunteers:

"I volunteer at ARC because I enjoy getting out of my routine and environment at home once in awhile. I enjoy even more getting to be in the ARC environment. It's a change of pace to join the resident community in providing a great retreat experience for whatever group is there for the weekend. And I get some free time during my stay for my own personal growth. I'm glad I risked trying it once, and now I've been back more!" "Volunteering at ARC is a great way to have a weekend away in exchange for helping around the place. It is a treat to join the staff for a weekend, or a day. I've done both." "The community members at ARC love volunteers, so you will be very appreciated! And volunteers don't get 'dumped on' at ARC. You will be welcomed, included in the community, and have some free time during your stay. And be blessed when you leave." "Volunteering at ARC for a weekend, or even a day, is a treat. It's therapeutic to step out of my normal routine and environment to be in the woods and part of the ARC community. In addition to helping ARC's mission, I get some time for myself to walk the trails, or the labyrinth, or meditate, sleep, read or write. What do volunteers help do at ARC? Help get meals ready, clean up afterwards, prepare rooms for the next group of retreatants, harvest food from the gardens, vacuum, whatever is needed to provide the special hospitality that is ARC."
