Race for Freedom 5K Walk & Run is an annual community event that raises awareness and funds to support JVI's fight against human-trafficking and other forms of modern-slavery in Asia. Participants of the Race for Freedom have the opportunity to raise funds on behalf of JVI leading up to the race.
After completing the 5K route, we'll celebrate the work being done over a breakfast, and hear from JVI staff who have traveled all the way from India to share inspirational stories about the men, women and children we've helped rescue from exploitation and slavery.
Volunteers are needed from now until September 16 to promote the event in the community to local businesses, churches, schools, and more.
Volunteers are needed on race day to help distribute race-packets to participants, cheer on walkers & runners along the route, serve breakfast after the race, and more.

Human trafficking. JVI strengthens ventures that bring rescue and restoration to human traffickingvictims and accountability to offenders.
Urban poverty. JVI strengthens ventures that empower children, women, and men that live in slum communities.
Other vulnerable groups. JVI strengthens ventures that promote justice for marginalized groups like religious minorities or scheduled castes that suffer from extreme forms of injustice.
