JVI maintains their Christian identity, while working with fellow Christians and with those who hold different beliefs in the common cause of justice.
JVI is called to serve the poor and oppressed, believing in the uniqueness, dignity, and intrinsic worth of every person. JVI respects cultural diversity and hnor the rich contributions of different cultures to society. By providing legal and other professional services, JVI equips local partners to bring justice to victims and transform unjust structures in their communities. JVI invests in their local partners, mobilizing capital to fight injustice. JVI forms international partnerships with volunteers and with othr organizations, leveraging global expertise to multiply the impact of local justice ventures.
JVI's target areas are:
Human trafficking. JVI strengthens ventures that bring rescue and restoration to human traffickingvictims and accountability to offenders.
Urban poverty. JVI strengthens ventures that empower children, women, and men that live in slum communities.
Other vulnerable groups. JVI strengthens ventures that promote justice for marginalized groups like religious minorities or scheduled castes that suffer from extreme forms of injustice.
