Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects.
Come help Arts & Scraps serve approximately 2000 makers in two days! We will have three interactive stations and maker stations where volunteers can create, imagine and learn with visitors while having fun! With such a massive turn out of makers, we need your help so they can interact with our recycled materials in a fun and organized way!
This volunteering opportunity is ideal for small groups. Children are welcomed if they are accompanied by an adult. We look forward to working with you!

Mission Statement
For over 30 years, Arts & Scraps has reimagined recycled materials to inspire people of all ages to think, create and learn.

Arts & Scraps is open to the public to stuff bags with safe, accessible recycled industrial materials. We also host educational and curriculum-based field trips, on site workshops for children and adults and create art and curriculum kits for 10 to 35 students. We bring activity tables to events throughout the Metro Detroit Area. Our warehouse uses volunteers of all abilities to sort, pack and prepare materials for our programs and learning kits.
