Need someone to keep our Facebook page up to date. This person should have ideas for making our pages interesting enough to attract donations to our food pantry so we can help feed the hungry in the city of Rochester. Ideas for fund raising would also be welcome. We have many people to feed and very few resources. A dynamic Facebook page may help us raise some of the money we need.
Loop Ministries is an urban food pantry. We serve 40-50 families a week, providing a balanced bag of groceries for each family member. We also have extra food items clients can take to fill a choice bag for the household. During the summer months, we try to offer fresh fruits and vegetables from either Foodlink or the Rochester public market working with a group called Flower City Pickers.
The church where the pantry resides has a hot lunch on the 4th Wednesday of every month feeding 40-60 people, Food for the Soul. After the meal is finished, the food pantry provides a balanced bag and a choice bag for everyone who comes to the lunch.

About LOOP MINISTRIES
Location:

Mission Statement
Loop Ministries is a non-profit organization committed to helping people in and around Rochester's Inner Loop. We stock and organize a food pantry that provides groceries for people in need that is open 2 days a week. We participate in a monthly hot supper provided by Incarnate Word Lutheran Church where we distribute groceries at the end of the meal. We raise money and organize food collections to help us continue to provide these services.
Description
The Loop Ministries Food Pantry is open every Tuesday/Thursday from 10am - 12 noon. We provide bagged groceries to approximately 150 families every month.
Loop Ministries partners with Incarnate Word Lutheran Church which provides a hot supper on the last Saturday of every month. After the meal Loop Ministries provides a bag of groceries to each attendee.
We partner with Heritage Christian Services to transport food, stock our shelves, distribute groceries and provide job skill training to people with developmental disabilities.
