Volunteering your time makes a huge difference!

Vigil volunteers sit bedside when a hospice patients is in their final hours to offer comfort and support to them and their families. This is a special role to offer special support to someone. Providence Hospice volunteers are an integral part of the care team. Volunteers give the gift of time to patients and/or families. We offer training to understand patients unique circumstances.

No hospice experience necessary. We offer orientation and training.

TB testing and background checks may be required at our expense.

Providence Hospice ministers to people's physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs on hospice care. In the face of a six month prognosis, Providence Hospice focuses on caring rather than curing, on preparation rather than prevention. When we say "with you, for you," we're making a promise to be there when patients and their families need us.
