Job Description:

We are looking for motivated and committed interns to join our volunteer-driven Business Development Team. The client relations associate intern is expected to participate in efforts and activities gendered towards business expansion. The client relations associate intern identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. The intern also assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.


Responsibilities:

The Client Relations Associate intern is responsible for following functions:

  • Conduct research in seeking business with potential NPO prospects & develop relationship with new NPO clients.
  • Confirm Current Operations, understand key programs on identified prospects.
  • Research and recommend business strategy, both on the long term and short term to the organization’s management towards business expansion, via enhanced marketing techniques.
  • Conduct follow-up calls, presentations and meetings with leads to explain more about CLASS and understand their organization's needs and potential fit with CLASS Offerings.
  • Maintain CRM (Client Relationship Management) Database on the leads.
  • Receive feedback & references from clients after the project is delivered.
  • Reach out to past CLASS clients to gauge impact of CLASS's work and probe for potential follow up -on projects and/or referrals.
  • Seeking repeat business by managing relationship with current & past clients.
  • Representing CLASS at various Nonprofit Organizations related events.
  • Social Media and Digital Strategy & Roll-out
  • Assist leadership in of Business Plans/ Major Client Presentations.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA or equivalent
  • Commitment to Non-Profits and purpose of organization
  • Experience with Salesforce or any CRM database.
  • Experience with inside and/or field sales a plus.
  • Good organization skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good written and verbal communication, positive attitude and dependable team player
  • Basic Computer Skills-MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office and Outlook
  • Must be able to attend regular weekly meetings
  • Able to commit for a minimum of 20 to 40 hours in a week for up to 3 months.
  • Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Public Speaking, Research, Writing, Closing Skills.

Commitment Required:

Meetings: 2 in person and 2 conference calls on a monthly basis
Time: 20 to 40 hours on a weekly basis for 3 months
