As a volunteer with LINC you will assist our team in filling a great need for affordable homes and life-enhancing services. Did you know that in California a single worker making minimum wage would have to work over 130 hours per week to afford the average priced two-bedroom apartment for his or her family? Even with two incomes, one can see the challenges that an individual would have working 65 hours per week and still find time to raise a family, care for aging relatives, and contribute in a positive way to their neighborhoods. By joining our team and providing clerical support to our organization, Administrative Volunteers support the mission of LINC Housing to provide low-cost homes and social services to families, seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout California.
Major responsibilities may include
- Data collection and data entry
- Assisting with date base management
- Filing, organizing and storage duties
- Research and reporting
- Copying and scanning
- Other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
Volunteers must:
- Have proficient organizational skills
- Have good people and communication skills
- Be proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Be flexible with task expectations
- Be able to work independently
- Maintain confidentiality

How to Enroll:
To qualify as an Administrative Volunteer, applicants must be at least 16 years of age and submit to a background verification. Getting involved is as easy as taking 4 simple steps:
- Visit our website at: http://www.linchousing.org/linccares/vol_form.html and complete the online application.
- You will be contacted within days to schedule an orientation appointment.
- Attend an orientation where you will meet onsite staff, receive a tour of the facility, and be given an introduction to LINC and the responsibilities of its volunteers.
- You will be contacted after orientation for placement in the activity of your choice.

Description
Linc Housing builds, owns, and operates affordable housing for low-income families and seniors throughout California. Our resident services department provides life-enhancing services to residents. Our staff members teach and collaborate with nearby agencies to facilitate classes and activities that cover health, exercise, financial literacy, after-school care, ESL, computer skills, crafts, volunteer opportunities, social events, and field trips to experience science, nature, and the arts.
