An Outgoing Male Social Companion is needed in Fairfax Station for an 83 year old, male Respite Care client with dementia. This gentleman enjoys conversations about Chicago, the U.S. Marine Corps, 30s/40s big band music, or WWII history. Volunteer is needed to provide the Respite Caregiver a break six hours per month.

The Fairfax Area Agency on Aging (AAA) serves older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers in Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The goal of the AAA is to improve quality of life and promote independent living for older adults. We are a partnership of Department of Family Services, Neighborhood and Community Services and the Health Department.

Our mission is to support older adults and adults with disabilities in a variety of ways. We provide volunteer services to help people to remain in their own homes/communities and improve their quality of life.
