Office Assistant Intern- Volunteer Coordinator : Description and Responsibilities:
The office assistant intern will work directly with the Director and administrative staff to complete tasks critical to the organization on a daily and long-term basis. Most internship opportunities are one day per week (minimum 3-5 hrs per week depending on school requirements) with additional Saturday or weekday mural painting or art workshop events available throughout semester. Since we are still looking for a new permanent office location, the Office Assistant Intern position will be fulfilled remotely, with weekly meetings scheduled at our temporary office space or coffee shops. Primary tasks will involve compiling data from program evaluations and surveys, compiling new volunteer information into our database, communicating with volunteers, updating mailing lists on excel spreadsheets, and maintaining volunteer records.

-Completed volunteer release form, background check, and abuse clearance
-Time management and ability to work independently within deadlines
-Willingness to ask for clarification when more instruction is needed
-Attention to detail
-Ability to collaborate via Dropbox and Google Drive
-Tracking your own hours spent on tasks accomplished and completing an invoice for time volunteered
Communicative - revises plans and updates ASI staff with Emails or phone calls regarding assignment cancellations or duty concerns
Team player - willing to work on those projects above and beneath their skill sets when needed
-Organization -Keep track of your hours on a calendar, Keep a running log of your intern experiences
-Create lists of confirmed volunteers to participate in events (to assist directors in event planning)
-Compile data from pdf scans of parent/teacher surveys to be included in grant applications.
-Maintain a spreadsheet database of volunteers for our records and mailing list
-Help maintain a spreadsheet calculating total hours volunteered by individuals in our programs and special events
-Post an introduction about yourself to our team of volunteers, on the Art Sphere Inc. Volunteer Blog
-Occasionally help post updates to our calendar and on our blog.
-Upload files to Dropbox
