Volunteers in the Berks community make thousands of handmade items for our patients at Reading Hospital. We are looking for people who love to sew who would like to help with the sewing projects that make life a little brighter for our patients. If you would like more information or are ready to volunteer, please email us!
Our volunteers make quilts, neck pillows, walker bags, teddy bears, simple muslin dolls, fidget quilts, compression pillows, eye masks, eyeglass cases and ice pack covers.

Description
The Reading Health Sytem is comprised the Reading Hospital, Reading Rehabilitation Hospital, the McGlinn Cancer Institute, Miller Regional Heart Center, Emergency Services, Level II Trauma Center, Beginnings Maternity Center, Reading Health Physician Network, Reading School of Health Sciences and The Highlands at Wyomissing a retirement community. There are volunteers for every skill set and heart's desire.
In addition to providing top notch health care we serve the wider community through The Friends of Reading Hospital whose fundraising event proceeds support innovative projects within the hospital and community.
