Are you considering law school? Do you want to work with attorneys while assisting low-income Montanans access their civil legal rights? Consider a JFM position with the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana!
The AmeriCorps members will make a difference for low-income Montanans and learn about the legal system. You will focus on promoting and supporting pro bono program activities at the Law School to further the cause of access to justice.

The Justice for Montanans AmeriCorps program helps empower low to moderate income Montanans advocate for their legal rights and increase access to justice.
Description
Our program is a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience working in the legal realm and to gain connections with other professionals across the state. AmeriCorps members in our program serve with 4 different organizations: Montana Legal Services Association, Supreme Court Self Help Law Centers, Office of Consumer Protection and Victim Services, and the Montana State Bar. Members perform a variety of duties including working with clients and doing intake, helping attorneys with case management, developing outreach materials and presentations, addressing consumer issues, helping survivors of domestic violence access services, and much more.
