Mission Statement

The Justice for Montanans AmeriCorps program helps empower low to moderate income Montanans advocate for their legal rights and increase access to justice.

Our program is a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience working in the legal realm and to gain connections with other professionals across the state. AmeriCorps members in our program serve with 4 different organizations: Montana Legal Services Association, Supreme Court Self Help Law Centers, Office of Consumer Protection and Victim Services, and the Montana State Bar. Members perform a variety of duties including working with clients and doing intake, helping attorneys with case management, developing outreach materials and presentations, addressing consumer issues, helping survivors of domestic violence access services, and much more.
