Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking Volunteers to provide compassionate, caring and hygienic head shaves and wig trims to customers of Shine. Cosmetology/Barber Volunteers must possess a valid Washington State Cosmetology license. The shop is located at the patient housing building: the South Lake Union House, address: 207 Pontius Ave N Seattle, Washington 98109.
Volunteer must be 21 years old, and be a licensed Cosmetologist in the State of Washington.
Essential functions include the ability to bend, reach and lift items (while restocking, unpacking and displaying goods up to 15 lbs.); ability to stand for up to two hours; vision and ability to verbalize required (necessary for communicating while performing service).

For current patients the superior care you have come to expect from us will continue uninterrupted. For example, as part of the transition to Fred Hutch there will be no changes to your doctor or care team. Over the longer term, this update to our structure will enable us to improve patients’ care experiences and increase integration across your care team.
