Receptionists at Davis County Senior Activity Centers are the welcoming smile that makes our seniors glad to be there. This position is for one or more morning shifts weekly, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, relaying messages and some light office duties such as filing. It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know local people and learn about events and activities in the community.
This opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the Senior Center while volunteering, as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving. Volunteers receive training/orientation. Cost of background check covered by Davis County.

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
