ORGANIZATION: InReach

Join AsylumConnect as our Director of Partnerships. We fully believe in AsylumConnect's ability to create positive change in the lives of LGBTQ asylum seekers in the U.S. - but we can't do it alone. To-date, AsylumConnect has achieved success in large part due to receiving support from a network of exceptional organizations. We are looking for a personable, organized, and hard-working individual to keep our stakeholders apprised of our progress as well as lead the effort to forge new high-impact partnerships with relevant service providers and organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to (and work closely with) the President.
  • Focus on reaching out to potential partners, pitching our catalog and growing relationships.
  • Work closely with the President and Vice President to identify and recruit new potential partners. Clearly articulate our value add to prospective partners and explain the tangible ways in which they can help us to ensure the AsylumConnect catalog reaches its full potential. (Sample "asks" for our partners include: secure link referrals, solicit resource suggestions for internal verification by our team, gather provider input on overall catalog model, distribute printed materials to LGBTQ asylum seeker clients, host local catalog demonstrations, etc.)
  • Brainstorm additional ways to utilize our partners' expertise and resources.
  • Update and keep track of any signed written partnership agreements. Serve as the primary contact for our partners.
  • Respond to the special needs and requests of our partners in a timely manner.
  • Compile, write, and send periodic email updates of AsylumConnect's progress to partners.
  • Oversee any local Partner Relations Manager associates (associates who live in one of our current operating cities and focus specifically on securing link referrals and forging more robust partnerships with local providers on the ground in one specific city).

Qualifications:

  • Interest/background in one or more of the following area(s): partner relations, capacity building, public relations, business administration, proposals development.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the mission and significance of the AsylumConnect catalog to prospective partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism, administrative skills, and follow-through.
