Heartland Hospice is seeking kind, compassionate Spanish speaking volunteers to be friendly visitors to our hospice patients. As a hospice volunteer, you will be an important part of the hospice team. As a Friendly Visitor Volunteer, you can provide much-needed companionship by visiting with patients in their homes (or the facility they reside) and engaging in friendly conversation, reading to the patient, sharing hobbies, playing music, etc.
You'll have the opportunity to be a friend to someone in need and speak to hospice patients in their first language, Spanish.
Our patients are located within a 50-mile radius of our office, so chances are there is a patient located close to you! Effort is made to place a volunteer with a patient located close-by to them. Time commitment is flexible; our volunteers can visit patients during daytime hours, during evenings (after work), or weekends.
