On Saturday, June 17th we will have what we call "WATER DAY". Approximately 20-40 kids will show up to 'hang out' at our community center for outside fun keeping cool in the sprinklers and having water gun fights. The neighborhood kids bring towels and have a blast.
This will be a special water day!
We are renting a large inflatable slip and slide and need people to help set up a few tables and shade tents, serve lunch and supervise the kids around water.
Schedule
- Setup will be done from 11am-12pm
- The children will arrive at 12:00pm
- We will serve the children lunch from 12pm-12:30pm
- WATER FUN begins at 12:45pm after they clean up from lunch
Dress cool and casual as we will be outside, and prepare to get wet as some of the kids like to squirt the volunteers with water guns. :)
Keep in mind that you are a role model for our children so please, no revealing clothing such as low cut shirts or tank tops or super-short shorts. THANK YOU!
Once you sign up, we will email you an application to fill out and please return to us via email within two - three days.
*Please check your junk/spam folder or leave a phone number in case we are unable to reach you via email.
Volunteers must be 16 years and older. And we ask that you do not bring your children. Thank you!

Mission Statement
PHOENIX CHILDREN'S PROJECT is dedicated to improving the lives of children living in poverty in Phoenix, Arizona. Our goal is to help needy children become healthy, self-reliant adults. First we help feed and cloth them, then we teach them how to help themselves so they can "break the chain" and create better lives for themselves as adults. Which in turn, helps our community
Description
We have a lot of hands-on opportunities. We have a Christmas program, Back 2 School Project, Easter Baskets, Birthday Club, monthly Food box deliveries to the children and their families, we take the kids to the movies and out to pizza, ... We help kids and their families with emergency needs that come up. we ask volunteers to provide handyman services to these single mothers. There are many ways to get involved.
