Let's go ZERO WASTE - Give reusable bags and food containers!

ORGANIZATION: Project for Pride in Living (PPL)

Minneapolis is going plastic bag free by June 1st, and our residents still need groceries!

Collect or give your reusable grocery bags, so families that are transitioning out of homelessness can be eco-friendly and continue to do their shopping. Storage containers will help reduce waste by extending food lifetime. Collect and coordinate a time to drop off reusable bags and food storage containers at our PPL Service Center.

Thank you for making our earth a cleaner place!

Facts about plastic bags:

  • In a landfill, these single-use bags will take up to 1,000 years to degrade
  • The average family accumulates 60 plastic bags in only four trips to the grocery store
  • Each high quality reusable bag you use has the potential to eliminate an average of 1,000 plastic bags over its lifetime
