Are you age 55 or greater and love to sew, knit or crochet? Use your talents to help serve military families of the 419th Air Force & Reserves as they welcome new babies into their families. Operation Bundles for Babies (OB4B) assembles and delivers baby gift bags to help honor and recognize the service and sacrifices military families make in service to our country. These new Moms and Dads are often away from their own families and support from the community is very much appreciated.
RSVP volunteers will provide handmade baby items such as receiving blankets and burpees, or donate new sample size bottles of baby shampoo, lotion, body wash, baby washcloths, towels, socks, baby toys or books. All donated items must be delivered to the RSVP office by 4:00 pm on Friday, December 8th. That evening the donations will be bundled into gift bags and delivered to military families with newborns here in Davis County.
This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the volunteer station (RSVP office), as well as supplemental insurance coverage while you are serving.
Please call or email us today for more information and to get enrollment forms.

Mission Statement
Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
