Carver Scott Humane Society (CSHS) has been a foster based rescue for nearly 30 years. The Dog Adoption Coordinator (DAC) is a vital position because it manages the transition of dogs in foster care with their new adopters. Relationship building is the core of this position, so the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively is a must!
The Dog Adoption Coordinator will:
- Review adoption applications and perform initial phone interviews,
- Work closely with dog foster homes,
- Act as the liaison with CSHS partners such as PetSmart, PetCo and Chuck and Don’s to arrange adoption events,
- Be a subject matter resource.

The Carver-Scott Humane Society is a foster-based 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue incorporated in March of 1989. Our mission is to connect animals in need with people who care. In addition to our foster homes, we have a Cat Adoption Center in our offices in downtown Chaska, MN.
Description
Carver-Scott Humane Society is a foster-based animal rescue that places over 500 animals a year in the homes of loving adopters. With 4 full time staff and 1 part time staff, our team of nearly 100 volunteers are critical to our success.
CSHS has developed a cutting-edge, holistic approach to rescue that involves four pillars:
