The Opportunity: Having a strong and consistent brand identity is essential for small businesses to build brand recognition, acquire customers and drive sales. However, many entrepreneurs don’t have the budget, time or skills needed to design a logo that reflects their brand’s identity. That’s where you come in! Our virtual logo design project is the perfect opportunity if you are looking to volunteer your time and talent to support small businesses and the innovators behind them.

  • Are you a good fit? You have at least 3 years of professional experience in logo design and are located in the United States or in a country with overlapping timezones (e.g Canada, Mexico).
  • What will you be doing? Once approved as a volunteer, you will have access to our opportunity list and logo design projects available. You will then connect one-on-one with an entrepreneur to scope out the project and deliverables, and ultimately design a logo for their business.
  • What is the time commitment? Logo design projects typically last between 30 and 45 days, depending on your availability. This includes some preparation and design time (flexible to your schedule) and interactions with the entrepreneur (via email, phone or video conferencing). This is a limited-scope opportunity with a clear deliverable and end date.
  • Does Start Small Think Big provide resources to get started? We provide information about the entrepreneur, their business and their needs, and, if available, a design brief from the entrepreneur with input on their brand colors, fonts and other relevant information.

Description

We focus on partnering with BIPOC entrepreneurs, women, LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, immigrants, veterans, entrepreneurs with disabilities, low-income entrepreneurs, and formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs. We help identify entrepreneurs’ areas of need and provide them with free technical assistance across the finance, marketing and legal areas. We do this by connecting them with our community of corporate partners and skills-based volunteers - so small businesses have the network and resources they need to grow on their own terms.
