If you love recruiting and meeting new people then this position is for you! The Volunteer Coordinator will assist the Director of Operations to recruit new individuals to the leadership and volunteer teams! This exciting position will be responsible for researching and assisting in the creation of policies for ChickTech Philly.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks
Ability to interact confidently and professionally with a variety of personalities
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and networking skills
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the volunteer recruitment and engagement through involvement in community events
Assisting in the planning how and where to recruit volunteers within the Philadelphia area
Assisting in organizing and updating volunteer forms/documents
Maintaining the database with volunteer information and interests
Posting volunteer recruitment announcements online
Participating in ongoing volunteer administration and learning opportunities

ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
