The California Science Center, located in historic Exposition Park, is a family destination that inspires science learning through fun, memorable experiences.
We are currently seeking volunteers for data entry and general office duties. Weekday morning and afternoon positions available. Weekend Membership Sales positions also available.
Basic computer skills and excellent communication required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Must commit to serving 4 hours/week for a minimum of 6 months. Training provided.

Description
The California Science Center is a modern facility with all-new interactive exhibits and programs, and a seven story IMAX Theater with 3D capabilities. This exciting environment makes for an extraordinary learning experience for guests of all ages. Interested teens and adults can provide assistance in several different ways including stimulating an interest in science by facilitating and encouraging hands-on learning in our educational exhibits; by assisting our curators with the plant and animal life; or by providing our guests with a warm welcome and answering questions. As a California Science Center volunteer you can enjoy many special benefits including free parking, specialized group or individual training, previews of exhibits, invitations to special events and activities. Volunteers also have an opportunity to earn free Explorer Level Membership. The minimum age for volunteers is 16. Opportunities are available 7 days a week and experience is not necessary, only the desire and willingness to be of service, to learn, and share what you learn with our guests.
