Helen’s Hope Chest is looking for volunteers. Here at HHC, we value all of our volunteers, their time, and their hard work. If volunteers were not available, thousands of foster and kinship children would not have the most basic of necessities. Many foster families would be forced to close their doors. And, many kinship families would be forced to turn their relatives away.
Front Dest - Answer phones, collect information from clients, make appointments
Back Room - Sorting, cleaning, displaying items
Group Projects - Book cleaning, back to school event, sorting new items, and other...

Mission Statement
Through our volunteer program we hope to connect individuals who desire to serve in the community with the opportunities that are available. HELENS HOPE CHEST helps foster children with their basic needs, giving children a similar experience of shopping in a consignment store. although the clothing is gently used, children in foster care are given the opportunity to select styles and colors they like. 16 individual rooms accommodate the basic needs of infants,toddlers,children, teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care. MESA VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER provides comprehensive support services to veterans and their families. The MVRC provides resources and referrals to assist in various areas including benefits claims, employment, mental health, and homelessness.
Description
Helens Hope Chest is opened Mon - Fri 8 -5 with the occasional Saturday. Our volunteers must respect the privacy of these delicate children.
We are looking for caring,reliable volunteers willing to commit to at least a year of service a minimum of 4 hours per week or more.
Mesa Veterans Resource Center is open Mon - Fri 8-4. We are looking for ongoing volunteers that can commit at least an hour a month.
