Tree Planting Volunteer Opportunity Where 1590 Las Plumas Ave, San Jose, CA 95133, USA Volunteer with Trees For All! Plant 2-3 trees and receive 4 hours of community service. Must be 18 years or older! Bring proper planting attire (comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes) and lots of water. *REGISTRATION REQUIRED* Email us at streettrees@ourcityforest.org or call 408-998-7337 ext 125 for further questions. Mission Statement
Our mission is to cultivate a green and healthy Silicon Valley by engaging community members in the appreciation, protection, growth and maintenance of our urban ecosystem, especially our urban forest.
Description
The ultimate goal of the program is to facilitate the planting of one million trees in Silicon Valley, utilizing one million people. We have planted over 70,000 trees in San Jose, encouraging community members to join us in improving the environmental conditions of their communities. We focus on making a healthy urban forest accessible to all by offering services targeted towards disadvantaged communities because we believe a healthy environment should be available to all people, not just those who have the resources to access it.
