It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

3159 Grant AvenueOgden, UT 84401

Our group meets Wednesday evenings, from 6-8 PM. (every other Wednesday)

Be part of a peer support group called "Allies" and be part of a team that is helping families in poverty, come out of poverty for good.

Circles Weber County is an initiative to end poverty in the Weber County area through training, networking, education, workshops and friendships. We are a chapter of the national program called Circles USA, which has been reducing poverty in different areas of the nation for over 24 years.

Our program includes weekly training, education, peer support, networking, workshops, and goal setting. We also have a free weekly dinner for all volunteers and circle leaders, as well as a free youth program and homework tutoring station.

As an ally, you would work with a team of allies, and 1-2 circle leaders. Each circle leader has a plan and goals to work up out of poverty. Allies attend 2-3 meetings/month with thir circle leader, and other allies to provide peer support, encouragement, and an outside perspective to the circle leader as they work towards their goals. This volunteer position builds intentional relationships across socioeconomic borders. It is a way to truly make a difference in someone elses life that will affect generations to come. Rather than a mentor, we see allies as friends, and people who gie encouragement and motivation to others as they strive to reach their own goals. Allies will never be asked to donate money to the circle leaders.
