Quality of care is one of the cornerstones of our mission - a mission that could not be accomplished without the many 'helping hands' of our volunteers. We are seeking volunteers to play music for hospice patients and their families at our Residence inpatient unit, in Saline, MI. We are looking for pianists to play the piano on the unit in the evenings at 6:00PM, while patients and families are eating dinner. We are also seeking other instrumentalists to share their musical talents throughout the day, any day of the week or weekends.
Our hospice volunteers have shared that they find their work to be personally gratifying and meaningful, and we hope that you will share in this experience. Your musical talents will be appreciated by our patients and their families, more than you could ever know.
Volunteers will be provided with ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout their service with us, and will be invited to ongoing education opportunities, and appreciation events. Our volunteers must complete an online application, interview, background checks, an orientation class, fingerprinting, and annual TB testing.
Arbor Hospice requires that any person who has suffered a personal loss wait a period of 12 months prior to volunteering. Thank you for considering this enriching and unique volunteer opportunity.
