The role of the Marketing Director for Women’s Global Leadership Initiative (WGLI) is to plan and execute integrated marketing and public relation programs that builds the brand and educates the public, which will generate leads and build brand visibility. It’s an exciting time to be at WGLI and we are seeking a multi-talented individual who can lead our marketing effort to help build our brand that allows donors, supporters and clients trust and recognize our brand.


The duties of the Marketing Director are diverse and hands-on, requiring someone with strategic thinking that meets quick execution. The Marketing Director reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, and will collaborate with the Content Director, the Social Media Director, the Fund Development Director, and the Partnership Director to help design initiatives to help WGLI scale.


  1. Brand Identity: Define standards and consistently represent the brand and message platform including website, public relations, social media, printed materials, and so forth.

  2. Marketing planning and execution: Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program.

  3. Internal Communications: Promote a healthy internal culture; help make sure the Organizations’ mission, vision, and philosophy are pertinent and practiced throughout the Organization.

  4. Reporting and metrics: Prepare quarterly reports on marketing activities, campaign performance, website analytics, and lead generation

  5. Budgeting: Assume overall responsibility for the planning and administering of the Organization’s marketing budget; ensure systems are in place for evaluation of communications.

  6. Staffing and Training: Provide necessary leadership to recruit, train, develop, support and supervise the Marketing team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the not-for-profit or association sector.

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
