Hope Xchange Nonprofit
Healing with hope.

Hope Xchange Nonprofit is reopening its doors in Q4 '20 due to our executive team’s grave concern regarding impact of COVID-19 on mental health and increasing suicide rates.

We provide hope to those who feel the world would be better off without them. We do this because we believe, as those who have felt the same hopelessness, in creating a world where no one ever has to to feel this way. We are warriors for hope and, together, our mission is to stop suicides and improve mental health outcomes.

Even before COVID-19, our youth were in trouble, with suicide the second leading cause of death for ages 10 to 24 and the leading cause of death for our LGBTQ youth. Because of bullying, 5,300 youth take their own lives every year.

As we move quickly to reopen, we are in need of two marketers to work directly with our CEO and Founder, a Harvard-trained public policy expert with two decades of marketing, business development, fundraising and strategic nonprofit leadership experience.

Please note your background is not as important as your future goals. With that said, desired skills (albeit don't have to have all of them):

  • Marketing and communications experience (note does not have to be in nonprofit space but a plus)
  • Public relations experience (press releases)
  • Great communicator and creative person
  • Most fabulous if also have Weebly website design and graphic design experience

We have a very forward thinking and innovative approach, so this also may be an excellent match for those thinking about getting into nonprofit space and, in particular, those who want to learn how to leverage strategic marketing to raise awareness and funds for a good cause.

Our team works remotely and virtually. We don't care when the work gets done, as long as it gets done. We are extremely collaboratively and work in a Google drive and Slack tech space.

Please note we had to close our doors in early 2019 due to funding shortfalls but hope is now making a come back for our most vulnerable. While we redesign our website and pivot our mission to help all who are struggling with any mental illness, you can view our former website which we have pushed out on a free temporary domain at: http://hopexchangenonprofit.weebly.com. Please excuse broken links during our redesign process.

With heartfelt gratitude.

Description

About Hope Xchange Nonprofit

Our most vulnerable, particularly our LGBTQIA+ and youth, are dying by suicide in not just staggering but heartbreaking numbers. We are dedicated to changing this by healing with hope.

Our early intervention, compassion-driven programs reach those who are struggling with mental illness wherever and whenever they need us most. We've discovered lives can be saved and improved by fostering care and support through the practice of:

- connection void of judgement and utmost compassion,
- promotion of strength and empowerment by renewing life purpose, and
