Volunteers are needed to assist the Housing Development Team in rehabbing houses that will be sold to first-time homebuyers in the Cincinnati neighborhoods of South Cumminsville, Northside, and College Hill. WIN welcomes groups or individuals who would like to share their time and talents on projects such as yard work, fence building, basic demolition, painting, and other construction activities. All levels of experience are welcome.
Availability during the work week (Monday - Thursday between 9 AM and 5 PM) is preferred; however, occasional weekend projects are possible as volunteers and WIN staff are available.
Responsibilities:
- work alone or with a group to complete assigned tasks
- complete yard work or minor construction projects under supervision of a WIN team member
- observe caution when working with tools and building materials on active build sites
- clean up work sites and return tools when tasks are completed
Qualifications:
- able and willing to work alone or as part of a group
- able to spend extended periods of time standing or kneeling
- able to lift and carry light loads of building materials and tools
- comfortable working outside or at active build sites
- follows directions and safety procedures

Description
Since 1978, Working In Neighborhoods (WIN) has assisted low- and moderate-income residents of Hamilton County bring stability to their neighborhoods and their families. WIN is a non-profit community development corporation and a HUD-certified housing counseling agency that focuses on the areas of housing development, home ownership, foreclosure prevention, energy conservation, and leadership development.
