The Project Purple Aid Station need you!
Here are the aid station details:
We need 20 volunteers from 7:15am-12:30pm on the day of the Lincoln Marathon. The aid station will be located on the corner of Normal and South. You can either volunteer for the entire duration or 1/2 the time. If you are working the entire duration or the morning time slot, please be at the corner of Normal and South by 7:15am sharp on race day (Sunday, May 5th). If you are bringing volunteers that are not included on this email, please confirm the number of people you are bringing along with their email addresses & phone number.
Tasks consist of but are not limited to: filling up water cups, keeping water supply available for multiple runners at all times, holding out gel packs for runners, cleaning up disposed cups and wrappers that will be thrown aside, etc.
All volunteers please respond to this email with your cell phone number & hours available. I need to be able to connect with you should there be any issues.
We can still use more volunteers, so if anyone has additional people willing to help, let me know ASAP.

Project Purple is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds towards a cure for pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is the second most common cause of cancer related deaths in the United States and has a five-year survival rate of less than ten percent. Project Purple strives to provide funds towards critical research to discover an early detection tool and offering financial aid to pancreatic cancer patients fighting this disease.
